HOW DOES IT WORK?
YOUR ALPACA WALKING EXPERIENCE
Before the walk starts, you will need to choose your alpaca and to start getting familiar with him/her.
We will explain to you the Do’s and Dont’s of alpaca walking and give you an overview of the many ways in which alpacas differ from all other animals.
We will then take you for a 45 – 60 minute walk with one of the home team in the lead. Alpacas do not walk very quickly, and there will be several pauses for selfies and further conversation.
Alpacas are very interested in everything we humans are doing, and they keep surprising us by the way they behave and the noises they make. All the walking will be across fields or on paths within the boundaries of the farm.
You will need to bring suitable outdoor clothing and, in particular, sturdy footwear or gumboots.
CAN WE WALK?
ALPACA WALKING SCHEDULE
We will start by offering walks on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, starting at 11.30 am.
For groups of five or more alpaca walkers, we may be able to offer some flexibility on scheduling times.
The maximum number of alpacas being walked at the same time will be limited to 8.

ABOUT GETTING TO US
Hammonds Farm, Wick Street, Stroud, Glos GL6 7QN
SatNav is unfortunately not very helpful. If you leave Stroud on A46 heading for Painswick, the farm is just below Hawkwood College.
You will see our farm buildings below you to your left once you reach the Hawkwood entrance gates.
